About Jo Sawmills

Established in 2009, JO SAWMILLS are specialists in bespoke local green oak and soft woods. Supplying local Boat Builders, Timber Framers, Landscape Gardeners and discerning DIYers.

Jo Burbridge has lived and worked in the woodlands for the last 20 years with experience in sawmills, boat building and timber framing. As a qualified carpenter, joiner and woodturner he has a great understanding of trees and their uses.

We cut building timbers, beams and fencing in Green Oak, Sweet Chestnut, Ash, Larch and Douglas to order. All trees are sourced locally wherever possible.

All offcuts are now used to fuel our Biomass kiln – this is also useful to produce seasoned firewood so nothing goes to waste.
